  • The finished chair. Made from Redwood and finished with Rubio Durogrit in Steppe Look.

    The plans for this "Kitchissippi" chair are from Lee Valley. The plans provide a paper template which I cut out, pasted to some plywood, then I cut and sanded to the final profile. From there I simply traced the forms onto my lumber, cut close with a bandsaw, and then used a router table to reach the final shape with some sanding to smooth out some areas.

    An easier project from the standpoint of using plans that has templates. Just cut, paste, cut, trace, etc., then assemble.
