Venice, a city built on a series of 126 islands and 472 bridges in an enclosed bay. As of 2020 the full time population was about 259,000, however between 22 and 30 million people a year visit the city. Flooding is a common issue in the city due to various issues such as sea level changes, and some sections of the city sinking due to pumping of groundwater in decades past. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and worth a visit if you have the opportunity.
